Today I attended a stakeholder meeting with Network Rail, TfL, Lambeth Council, emergency services and local stakeholders regarding planned major works on Westminster Bridge Road.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss upcoming Network Rail works in the Westminster Bridge Road area and to ensure that local organisations, businesses, transport authorities and community representatives are informed and able to raise concerns. The project relates to works taking place at Westminster Bridge Road, SE1.
At this stage, I am seeking further information on:
- The scope of the works.
- Expected timescales.
- Any traffic, bus, pedestrian or cycling impacts.
- Measures to minimise disruption for residents, businesses and visitors.
- Communication arrangements to keep the community informed.
I know many residents will want to understand what impact these works may have on daily journeys and access through the area. I will continue to engage with Network Rail and partner organisations and will share further updates as soon as more detailed information becomes available.
If you have particular concerns about access, transport, deliveries, local businesses or other issues that you would like raised, please let me know and I will ensure these are fed back to the project team.
