A resident has reported cars running red lights at Chicheley Street and York Road, creating near-misses for people crossing on a green pedestrian signal. The resident described several incidents over a two-week period.

I am taking the report forward and seeking a response from the relevant transport authorities. There is no confirmation yet of a signal fault, and no investigation has concluded, so it is important that the reports are checked before any conclusions are drawn.

I’ll ask what steps can be taken to assess the junction and address dangerous driving, and will update residents when I receive a response.
