Emergency gas works on Waterloo Road have caused disruption near the Old Vic. SGN told me that the first phase had been completed and that work outside the Old Vic was expected to finish on 19 October, allowing the road to reopen.

However, a later streetworks bulletin still listed a lane closure and gas works through 25 October. I am checking the latest position with the relevant teams so residents have a clear update on what remains and when normal access is expected.

I know road closures and lane restrictions can affect local journeys and businesses. I’ll share confirmed information as soon as I receive it.
