Families looking for something creative to do during half-term can enjoy a free storytelling experience at the Southbank Centre.

“Search for a Story” will take place in the Clore Ballroom from Thursday 29 October until Sunday 1 November 2026.

Children aged five and over will be invited to explore a giant storytelling bed, piece together familiar tales and create their own new adventures.

The activity is free and no ticket is required, although children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Southbank Centre is also offering other free exhibitions and creative activities. Residents can explore its full free programme online.

I encourage local families to make the most of these imaginative and accessible activities taking place in our ward.
