Residents have raised concerns about vehicles entering the pedestrian area near the London Eye. I have continued to press for a practical response, including at a site meeting with council members and officers, the London Eye and South Bank BID.

Officers are now assessing possible measures, including concrete blocks, benches and specialist planters. These options have different costs and maintenance needs, and not all provide the same level of vehicle protection. No final scheme has been approved.

I have asked that any proposal is properly assessed for safety, appearance, upkeep and access for emergency vehicles. I will keep pressing for a solution that protects people using the area and can be maintained over time.
