A damaged cycle corral on The Cut was in the way of pedestrians and was a hazard. I reported it to Lambeth’s highways maintenance team and asked for it to be treated as urgent.
The council has also been asked to look at redundant signs, how rental bikes are managed, and whether The Cut needs more cycle parking. Operators have been asked to patrol and move bikes more often. Later phases of the council’s cycle-parking programme may add capacity.
I will follow it until the damaged kit is repaired or taken away.
