Residents continue to report disruptive motorbike noise and antisocial riding in Waterloo and the South Bank. I have been working with residents, the council and the police through our Stop the Noise campaign to seek effective action.
One proposal under consideration was an overnight vehicle restriction. Officers say it would require a large restricted zone, new signs and cameras, and could create difficulties for residents, venues and visitors. They also question whether it would stop the problem or move it elsewhere, and say there is currently no budget to implement it.
Police remain engaged, but residents have reported that the problem continues. I will keep pushing for practical measures and regular enforcement, and will share further updates as options are assessed.
